Sandhill Cranes-Verdi

Three long-legged cranes cluster on a slim rectangular base, their slender wire-thin legs crossing into a tangle of grass at the feet. A weathered, patinated surface, mottled with greenish oxidation over dark bronzed tones, gives each bird a sense of age and quiet motion, heads tipped and beaks crossing as if mid-conversation. At home on a console or shelf where its tall, spindly silhouette can rise into open space.
