SUTTER & VALE SHIPPING POLICY

Last Updated: November 28, 2025

This Shipping Policy describes how orders placed with Sutter & Vale are shipped and delivered.

1. Shipping Methods

We use a combination of:

  • Parcel carriers for smaller items such as some lighting and décor

  • LTL freight carriers for heavier or larger items

  • White glove or in-home delivery services for oversized, heavy or delicate pieces

The shipping method for each item is determined by the manufacturer and the nature of the product.

2. Shipping Rates

Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on:

  • Product type, weight and dimensions

  • Delivery method (parcel, freight, white glove)

  • Delivery address

Some products may have flat rate shipping, surcharges or delivery upgrades available. Certain services such as in home delivery or assembly, where available, will incur additional charges as shown at checkout.

Shipping and delivery fees are not refundable.

3. Processing and Lead Times

Many Sutter & Vale products are made to order or ship directly from the manufacturer. Estimated lead times are provided on the product page or at checkout. Lead times generally include:

  • Production time, if applicable

  • Processing and handoff to the carrier

  • Transit time to your address

All lead times are estimates only. Production delays, carrier delays, weather and other factors outside our control may affect delivery timing.

4. Delivery Appointments

For freight and white glove deliveries:

  • The carrier or local delivery partner will contact you to schedule a delivery window.

  • Standard delivery windows are typically during normal business hours, Monday through Friday.

  • Additional fees may apply for special scheduling requests, remote locations or complex delivery conditions.

If you miss a scheduled delivery or refuse a shipment without cause, re delivery charges, storage fees or return shipping may apply and may be deducted from any refund.

5. Delivery Scope

Standard freight or white glove delivery generally includes:

  • Delivery to your home at the first dry area or room of choice as indicated at checkout

  • Limited stair carries as described by the carrier

  • Removal of packaging for certain white glove services, where stated

Delivery does not include:

  • Moving or removing existing furniture

  • Structural modifications, electrical work or installation in walls or ceilings

  • Assembly or installation services unless specifically purchased where available

You are responsible for measuring doorways, hallways, elevators and stairways to ensure the product will fit. If an item cannot be delivered due to access limitations, outbound and return shipping charges plus applicable restocking fees may be deducted from any refund for eligible items.

6. International, Remote and Special Destinations

Shipping outside the contiguous United States or to remote locations may not be available for all items, or may require a custom quote. Duties, taxes and additional fees are the responsibility of the customer unless explicitly stated.

7. Risk of Loss

Risk of loss passes to you upon delivery of the products by the carrier, subject to the claims procedures described in the Returns, Refunds and Damages Policy. You are responsible for promptly inspecting shipments and following the reporting requirements described there.
