Conceived by Laura Kirar for Baker Furniture, the Taru Sofa is a study in organic materiality and composed restraint — its rattan frame dressed in woven rawhide that reads at once ancient and entirely current. The two available finishes, Matte Ebony and Matte Mineral, allow the piece to shift register entirely: one grounding a room in deep, lacquer-free darkness, the other lending an almost geological quietude. There is an architectural confidence to the silhouette that speaks to Kirar's fluency with craft traditions, translated here into something that sits comfortably within the most considered of interiors.
