Parlor Rug-Deep Red

A deep oxblood ground grounds a scatter of tangled, hand-drawn scrollwork in ivory, black and warm gold, gathered into a dense medallion at center and echoed loosely at the corners and mid-edges. The abrasion-mottled field gives the red real depth, so the wiry linework seems to hover, restless and calligraphic, above it.
