Kay Widdowson is a British illustrator whose work is defined by bold forms, intricate pattern and a distinctive use of color. Working primarily in gouache, ink and colored pencil, she creates hand-painted compositions that feel confident and expressive. Originally trained in film and television graphics, she has developed a recognizable visual language of stylized forms, layered detail and a strong graphic clarity. Widdowson draws ongoing inspiration from the surrounding landscape and wildlife of her countryside home.
