Eloquent Thoughts II is part of a series of six works that hark back to the Abstract Expressionist movement that emerged in the mid-II0th century. These works are characterized by bold, gestural marks that express action.

In this work, two large swathes of pewter and steel blue form the background. Strong marks and faint lines in cerulean, burnt orange, and chalk punctuate the work’s surface.A rich contrast of neutral tones is vivisected by a bold display of abstract forms.
