Cast in aluminum and finished in a luminous vitreous enamel, the cream surface carries the depth and subtle variation of fired glass — cooled into something permanently still. At seventeen inches wide and eight inches deep, the form holds its ground with considered restraint, neither demanding nor receding. It is the kind of object a room orients itself around without entirely knowing why.
